Team Building |
Team Building ProgramWhile experiencing the joy of ensemble drumming, participants are immersed into a dynamic environment that fosters teamwork and individual expression. Within a short time participants have learned a new language and are communicating with one another...and listening. The ensemble learns to play together on Agogo Bells, Tamborim, Ganza, and Reco-reco. John provides the heartbeat pulse of the Surdo drum. Using a Samba whistle for cues (calls), John guides the ensemble through a series of breaks as well as opportunities for individual improvisation. Movement (marching or walking in place) is encouraged in order to reinforce each player’s sense of an internal pulse. |

What people are saying about John's Team Building Program:“… A unique program for developing initiative, creativity and interpersonal cooperation… and lots of fun!” Adele Aguirre, Director of Marketing, Taico Incentive Services Inc.
“We learned about music in John’s class; we expected that, but there was something more. When we left we felt a new sense of confidence in ourselves, we felt empowered to do anything. It encouraged us to take risks we never would have considered before. He showed us a way to enlarge our potential.” Janet Walton, Professor of Worship, Union Theological Seminary, New York, N.Y.
“…A model of how best to teach teambuilding while also having a great deal of fun.” Sean McCarthy, Director, Presbyterian Choir School of New Canaan
